In the classroom from the series Porn plays with the functional edges of pornographic images by simulating the architecture and typical atmosphere of porn pictures. It represents an interweaving of erotic pleasure with porn material and undermines the scopophilic nature of the image and its mechanisms of seduction.

By enacting recognizable pornographic postures in everyday locations with their clothes on, the artists are imitating the tools of the sex industry whilst subverting them through their misuse. Anetta Mona Chisa and Lucia Tkácová speak metaphorically about the limits of the erotic routine. They do not aim to bring back the excluded into the universal, as Judith Butler hopes translation can do, through the continuous transgression of social confines, but instead show the unrestrained potential of inclusion that the current system has in order to maintain itself unchanged. The artists are thus deconstructing society’s icons and props, revealing their basic economic fundaments and functioning. And in this endeavor they are ruthless.
