Ship-to-Shore with Robertina Šebjanič
Livestream on Ocean-Archive.org
31 August 2026 | 19:00 – 20:00
Join us for a Ship-to-Shore connection with Robertina Šebjanič, an artist on board Schmidt Ocean Institute’s research vessel Falkor (too), on August 31, 2026, live-streamed on Ocean-Archive.org at 7–8 PM CEST (ship time 1–2 PM EDT/AST).
From August 9 to September 2, 2026, artist and researcher Robertina Šebjanič is aboard the Research Vessel Falkor (too), operated by the Schmidt Ocean Institute, as an Artist-at-Sea, alongside an international scientific team conducting Seeking Salt Fingers in the Tropical Atlantic, an expedition led by Dr. Joseph Gradone and Dr. Corday Selden of Rutgers University.
Join Šebjanič, multimedia correspondent Alex Ingle, lead scientists Dr. Corday Selden and Dr. Joseph Gradone, and Captain Peter Reynolds as they journey through the research vessel—from the working main deck to the bridge—joined by members of the crew and scientific team in an encounter offering a glimpse into life at sea and the intersections between artistic research, ocean science, technology, and more-than-human worlds.
If you didn’t manage to join the live connection from the R/V Falkor (too), the tour is still available to watch online via Ocean-Archive.org.
