Schools

TBA21–Academy research journey to Panama

The permanent program Ocean Schools begins in the autumn, with the start of the school year, with free training sessions both live via webinar and on-demand, aimed at teachers of all levels.

The year-long course is developed through thematic in-depth analysis, theoretical reflections, and practical suggestions for the most urgent issues affecting our time: climate and environment, humankind and the blue planet, and biodiversity.

After the initial phase dedicated to teachers, which continues throughout the entire school year, the program directly involves students with proposals for workshops to be carried out independently, directly at school, through video lessons and instruction kits.

The interdisciplinary program dedicated to the pressing theme of biodiversity for students aged between 3 and 19 years also continues this year. Biodiversity is not just a variety of life forms, but a dense network of invisible conversations. Sounds, colors, vibrations, and chemistries weave a language that connects plants, animals, and microorganisms, but which often remains imperceptible to human beings.

The project invites the school community to discover and reinterpret these communications through aesthetic-poetic practices and scientific tools. Four paths for different school levels guided by the artist Claudia Losi will conclude in May with a final event, in person at Ocean Space and online.
