Education For All
The Ocean is our greatest and best ally in the fight against the ongoing climate crisis and we must take care of it. However, to take care of the Ocean, it is fundamental that everyone has access to scientific knowledge and artistic content relating to it, without excluding anyone. We must all be involved in safeguarding the planet, and therefore we must all have the information and tools to do so.
Starting from these reflections, TBA21–Academy’s education department has initiated Ocean for All, an experimental program at Ocean Space that engages participants in inclusive experiential moments through tactile visits and visits in Italian sign language.
Ocean for All 2026: Atlas of Blue
Ocean for All: Atlas of Blue connects to the exhibition Tide of Returns through a cycle of four workshops for adults exploring water as a medium of transmission, care, and memory.
Through accessible artistic practices, such as collecting personal objects, constructing symbolic figures, experimenting with cyanotype and engaging in collective weaving, participants are invited to reflect on the relationship between individual experience and shared heritage, contributing to a collective process.
Each workshop includes an interactive tour of the new exhibition, in Italian and Italian Sign Language (LIS), led by a mediator together with an LIS interpreter. This will be followed by a collective, intergenerational, multi-sensory workshop.
