Conversation Studio 21: Of Whales is an activity that acquaints both youngsters and adults with the work of the American artist Wu Tsang and invites them to be drawn along by it.
As part of the public program of the temporary exhibition Of Whales, TBA21 in collaboration with Educathyssen and the Institute for Postnatural Studies organize conversations around the exhibition for understanding and discussion.
Of Whales is an immersive realtime video installation that offers a psychedelic oceanic environment generated from XR ("expanded reality") technologies that was first presented at the 59th Venice Biennale in 2022, The MIlk of Dreams.
Exhibition curator Soledad Gutiérrez said: “This exhibition is an invitation to experience an alternative cosmology around one of the mythical narratives of our time and experience it through the eyes of the Whale. It is an exploration on the potential of an embodied critical knowledge production and the role of public programs in transforming cultural institutions into public spaces.“
