The Museo Nacional Thyssen-Bornemisza and TBA21 Thyssen-Bornemisza Art Contemporary present a new edition of their nocturnal walkthroughs, this time featuring a new type of workshop in connection with Seba Calfuqueo’s exhibition CAUTÍN. Through listening, historical counternarrative, and performative action, the activities invite you to walk through the exhibition and see it with fresh eyes while reflecting on the connections between territory, identity, and memory.

Memories of Water is a performative walkthrough that offers a shared experience of listening, contemplation, and sensory activation. Through an immersive audio-walk and a voice performance, this activity invites you to explore the connections between body, water, memory, and territory in a participatory ritual.

Juan Pablo Pacheco and Pablo Zamorano Azócar are artists and researchers whose collaborative practice explores the connections between territory, memory, body, and more-than-human ecologies. They use transdisciplinary methods that combine living arts, research, and community processes to carry out projects that delve into epistemologies of nature, ancestral lore, and poetic forms of knowledge. Their work approaches water, spirituality, infrastructure, contemporary ritual, and embodied memory as spaces for imagining other ways of inhabiting and caring for the world, generating participatory experiences where the sensory, the political, and the ecological intertwine.which to imagine other ways of inhabiting and caring for the world, creating participatory experiences in which the sensory, the political, and the ecological intertwine.

For this activity, each participant must bring a charged cell phone and headphones/earbuds compatible with their device. Both items are essential for accessing and engaging in the experience. The museum cannot loan cell phones, headphones, or earbuds.
