Expensive, Glorified, Wall Paper is an installation incorporating video, which was made shortly after the collective’s ART RULES! performance in Vienna (2007) for the seminal exhibition "KISS KISS BANG BANG. 45 Years of Art and Feminism" at the Museo de Bellas Artes Bilbao. Chaotic yet firm, Expensive, Glorified, Wall Paper addresses typical ‘girlie’ clichés such as horses, Chanel accessories, money, bright colors and glitter. The female figure embodies the creative goddess, functioning as a counterpart to the ominous black bird. In their video Slap the Piss the artists use their own bodies as instruments.

Chicks on Speed is a collective of female artists founded in 1997 by Alex Murray-Leslie, Kiki Moorse and Melissa Logan. The collective developed into a multidisciplinary group embarking on various projects, which are often enriched by artistic collaborations. As L.A Steiner puts it, "Chicks on Speed is a projection in terminal flux, utilizing pop notoriety, art-market tropes and avant-garde toolkits".
