Can technology really help us transform the world?
FTI Brussels 2026: Shifting Worlds with Markus Reymann at WIELS

16 October 2026 | 19:00 – 19:30

Can technology help us truly reshape the world? Sustainable change requires not only new technologies but also a look at their cultural, social, and ethical impact. Artists are the critical antennas of our society and play an important role in this. The exhibition Shifting Worlds brings together the work of 20 artists and designers such as Joanie Lemercier, Rachel Armstrong and the LAb[au] collective. From various perspectives, they reflect on the city of tomorrow and explore what role technology can—or cannot—play in it.

Within this framework, Markus Reymann, Co-Director of TBA21, will deliver opening remarks at FTI Brussels alongside Christophe De Jaeger and Dirk Snauwaert. The opening will take place on October 16, from 7:00 to 7:30 pm, followed by three performances: Force Field, Live Electronic Music, and Sounding Lines.
