An in-person talk, organized in collaboration with LACMA Digital Leaders and SATA.

Drawing from TBA21–Academy’s ongoing work at Ocean Space in Venice, its director, Eduardo Castillo-Vinuesa, will explore how mass tourism functions as a “planetary theatre” — reshaping landscapes, cultures, and ecosystems — and how art can propose new forms of oceanic care and imagination. The talk will also touch on themes of cultural repatriation, Indigenous knowledge, and more-than-human intelligence through current projects, including Tide of Returns and The Current V: Ancestral Ocean.

The event is moderated by Kachi Chan, Co-Founder & Director of Technology of SATA.
