TBA21 participates in the fifth edition of Compromiso con el Clima: The Unthinkable, a gathering that brings together activists, poets, educators, scientists, municipal practitioners, children, and citizens to share climate solutions that until now seemed unthinkable. More than thirty contributions will imagine fair, breathable, and climate-adapted cities and communities.
They present unique realities: how to live without a trash bin, the science behind AEMET weather alerts, why a restaurant can be a climate activist… and the shelters that were created during the blackout. These and many other ideas aim to help us collectively imagine a much better future for everyone by exchanging knowledge, experiences, and beliefs from which to rebuild when everything seems to be shaking.
In this context, Elisa Cuesta, representing TBA21–Academy, will speak about OceánoFuturismos, an initiative that challenges the limits of current ocean-governance models and proposes integrating civic participation, political imagination, and new narratives, through fiction, to build shared futures for the ocean. The short film HAVSRÅ will be screened (produced with Inferstudio and Radical Ocean Futures).
TBA21’s participation underlines its commitment to nurturing new imaginaries for sustainable futures, where art, science, and creativity can unlock possibilities that once felt beyond reach.
