Information

Reservation required to participate in guided tours

Once again this year, Ocean Space is taking part in Art Night, and for this special occasion, the venue and its current exhibitions will remain open until 10pm.

In an enchanting evening atmosphere, visitors can explore the exhibition Tide of Returns, which brings together site-specific installations by Repatriate Collective, an international group dedicated to the restitution of cultural heritage to indigenous communities.

Through installations and interdisciplinary practices, the exhibition combines political and collective dimensions with more intimate and personal ones.

In parallel, the Research Room hosts the initiative Nature Speaks. Listening for Rights of Nature in Venice and Europe, curated by Pietro Consolandi and Amalia Rossi, explores the theme of the rights of nature and, through a working group, community meetings, and research, is seeking to draft a law to recognize the Venice lagoon’s legal rights.

Guided tours

During the evening, it will be possible to take part in three free guided tours led by cultural mediators.

The thematic tours, scheduled at 7pm, 8pm, and 9pm, will explore the history of the former Church of S. Lorenzo and the activities of Ocean Space, as well as the themes of the exhibition Tide of Returns and the initiative Nature Speaks.

Participation is free, but registration is required at the following link.
