What actually happens in the space between an artist and a scientist? Beyond what gets produced, how does the encounter change both sides? This session, building on the Ars Biologica residencies of the České Budějovice – European Capital of Culture 2028 and its partners Ars Electronica’s and TBA21–Academy’s extensive experience in cultivating transdisciplinary research and practice, explores how bringing artistic and scientific methodologies into genuine dialogue can transform public engagement, reframe scientific inquiry and seed long-term ecological awareness.

The meeting adopts a highly participatory, round-table format. Spread across five tables, mixed groups of invited stakeholders and public participants will tackle specific table-level challenges and cross-pollinate their ideas, culminating in a collective exchange to help shape future frameworks for interdisciplinary collaboration.
