These accessible digital resources are designed to support science teaching in an accessible and participatory way. 

The resources include five video clips in Italian Sign Language (LIS). The videos introduce and explain key scientific concepts relating to biodiversity through visual and simplified language, facilitating access to content for deaf and hard of hearing students, and people who learn best through visual media. Thanks to narration and subtitles, the science clips are accessible to all students. 

The videos are part of the “Ocean Schools” program - 2024-2025 edition.

Biodiversity also concerns the places where living things live. This video explains what an ecosystem is, and shows how air, water, soil, and living organisms are all connected.

What exactly is biodiversity, and why is it so important for the planet and our lives? This video summarizes the various aspects of biodiversity and invites us to recognize the variety of life that surrounds us, and our place within it too.
