Ocean Families: Atlas of Blue. Where rivers become sea

In dialogue with the themes of the exhibition Tide of Returns, the final event of the cycle Atlas of Blue invites children and families to bring together everything that has emerged throughout the process and to shape the final installation together.

The blue textures, developed through each event, will become a landscape traversed by memories and relationships. The dolls will take on the role of guardian figures, while the cyanotypes will transform into a sea of ​​shapes and imprints left by light, water, and collected objects.

By interweaving, combining, and arranging the different elements, each participant will contribute to the transformation of the space. Individual creations will therefore interact with one another and come together in a single composition, capable of preserving the stories and gestures shared during the workshops.

Attendance at previous workshops is not required to participate in this activity. 

Children and families will be able to explore the materials already created, contribute to the final installation, and complete the collective weaving process by continuing work on the large loom and smaller looms. Working together will therefore become a space for healing and sharing, through which particpants can explore the themes of restitution and repatriation.

The workshop is divided by age group:

• 11am – 12pm | Workshop for families and children aged 3 to 5 
• 3 – 4:30pm | Workshop for families and children aged 6 to 12
