Convivial Tables 2026: INVISIBILE — Spore, parole, correnti is curated by Bogiaisso (Niccolò Moronato and Alice Jasmine Crippa) with Orchestras of AWEdacity (Kayla Archer). Convivial Tables is TBA21–Academy’s active research program dedicated to the ties between food and ecology and the way these affect bodies of water.

A small-boat journey curated by Niccolò Moronato and Alice Jasmine Crippa in collaboration with Fie a Manetta, into and out of Venice's scenography.

We let ourselves be guided by the invisible natural operators that sustain Venice as we know it: spores, molds, fungi, and non-human agents revealing critical work often invisible to our eyes.

We continue speaking of schisce — work meals and the places where they're eaten, revealing human and more-than-human geographies that appear on no map. We share thoughts and words in the making, toward a result that will remain unknown until September 19 in Campo San Lorenzo.

We'll arrive around 8pm in Fondamenta dei Forni (Arsenale), followed by an optional walk for those who’d like to join.

Important information

To take part in the event on June 23, you must complete your Fie a Manetta registration by June 18, as this is the only way to be properly insured. Otherwise, we'll have to reassign your spot.

Biographies

Niccolò Moronato is a visual artist, researcher and translator. Since 2022 they have worked with the fishing community of Chioggia through Bogiaisso, the collective SONAI and Trattoria Guaiana.

Alice Jasmine Crippa is a cultural researcher, co-founder and experience director of Bogiaisso. Since 2023 they have worked with the community of fishers, artisans and hands-on practitioners in Chioggia, curating and co-creating community artistic productions.

Kayla Archer (Barbados) is a writer and researcher based in Mexico City. She is drawn to what Barbadian poet Kamau Brathwaite described as "the submarine unity" of the Caribbean-Latin American region. Together with seven oceanic citizens (Barbados, UK, USA, Germany, Turkey, Italy) she founded Orchestras of AWEdacity, a poetry and performance collective that since 2024 has developed a collective writing methodology inspired by Caribbean Calypso. Each member writes through a sobriquet — an alter ego of the deep that defines their political commitment to the fluid, supranational territory of the ocean.

Fie a Manetta is the first motor-boat school run by women and open to everyone. Theory and practical courses to learn how to navigate the lagoon and Venice's canals, sustainable navigation and slow barchino.
