We present the fall Mediation Program that accompanies the exhibition Remedios: Directions to the Old Ways, a collaboration between TBA21 and C3A Centro de Creación Contemporánea de Andalucía, Córdoba. Derived from the multiple perspectives encompassed by the exhibition, the activities in the program point towards the recovery of diverse ancestral traditions and knowledge, and propose transformative approaches to regeneration and reparation. Featured workshops, lectures, guided tours, conversations, and discussion groups are directed to assorted audiences and aim at creating spaces of encounter, listening, and collective learning.

An experimental ethnobotanical-spiritual drawing workshop led by Patricia Domínguez for youth and adults.

An experimental drawing and meditation workshop with medicinal plants, focused on creating a speculative botanical portrait of geometric faces. An action based on Patricia Domínguez's ethnobotanical experimental research and her apprenticeship with the healer Amador Aniceto, about the spiritual aspect of the plant universe.

Crochet workshop organized by LULAB for the collaborative creation of a coral reef.

A crochet workshop organized by LULAB that promotes the collaborative crafting of a coral reef using environmentally-friendly materials. The aim is to explore, understand, and celebrate sustainable, locally sourced approaches to crafting and working with ecologic materials. The project advocates for the knowledge embedded in women’s traditional crafts and handcrafted science.

A workshop-laboratory on evidential mediumship with Pablo Zamorano, for adults.

What cultural and social imaginaries underlie the relationship between life and death? What mode of thought does the spirit represent? How does intuition operate?
A two-hour workshop designed to map reflections, intuitions, and perceptions concerning the connections between the living and the dead. Through dynamics of body exploration, energetic alignment, and creative writing, we seek to connect and shift mediumistic attention, understood as the ability to perceive and engage with entities that could belong to an extra-physical or extrasensory realm.



LOOSE FEATHERS

Experimental workshop using feathers from birds found along the banks of the Guadalquivir River. Suitable for children aged 6 and above.

An oratory and communication workshop led by Ana Fernández Gordillo and the debate group DILEMA from the University of Córdoba. Participants will interpret works featured in Remedios: Directions to the Old Ways by using communication and rhetorical tools learned in the workshop. The final goal is to inspire ideas and action plans at an individual and collective level.
